E. PROJECT II

- How would you describe the "program music"? (2 or 3 lines are enough).
Programmatic music is the one that aims to make the listener have ideas or think about what he has heard.

- Choose one of the next examples (worked already a bit in Music classes) and do some research about the composer (4 or 5 lines are enough).

Video 1                                     Video 2                                    Video 3

The one I like most is the first one (Vivaldi's Four Seasons) because I like its rhythm and it represents well the message that it wants to send.
Vivaldi lived between March 4, 1678 and July 28, 1741, and was nicknamed il prete rosso ("the red priest") for being a priest (Catholic) and a redhead. Of the more than 770 works that Vivaldi composed, the most famous are The Four Seasons, a series of concerts for violin and orchestra. Work that is part of his opus 8 "Il cimento dell'armonia e dell'inventione"

Do you believe the composer transmits the title meaning in a good manner? Why?

Yes, because as the morning progresses I am more awake and that is what it does but making the instruments sound more and that they go faster or that there are more instruments.

D. PROJECT I

1) In the classroom, the teacher will focus on some famous songs of the sixties, explaining some issues in relation to Music and Sociology (although not in depth). These videos will be uploaded by the teacher to the blog.

Video 1                                      Video 2                                                  Video 3

- Which one do you prefer? Why? (2 or 3 lines are enough).
I prefer the first song because it is the original and it is not a cover therefore I like the originals more than the covers. The one I like the least is the last one because it makes some very abrupt changes of rhythm at the end and that does not like.

- Who was Bob Dylan? (2 or 3 lines are enough).
Bob Dylan, registered at birth as Robert Allen Zimmerman, is an American musician, composer, singer and poet, widely regarded as one of the most prolific and influential figures in popular music of the 20th century and early 21st century.

- In Music classes I have told you about the sixties and the music of that period, including some videos. If you paid attention, you will be capable of writing down a summarize. (4 or 5 lines are enough).
In the 60s there was a lot of racism and machismo there was a big movement about racism to fight for their rights. The hippies started, they were people who consumed LSD, marijuana ... and they did not wear very common clothes. Some artists like Bob Dylan, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones ... Finally the 60s end in 1969.

A. TO BEGIN WITH... (part I)

Does sadness or melancholy belong to music? Or must music always make you feel happy or glad?
Yes, because a song can make you feel sad. Not many times music makes you feel melancholy and sadness.
